A solid foundation in the core subjects and is enhanced by elective offerings in the fine arts, industrial arts, technology, and even engineering and robotics. Further, Maranatha offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses in American History, Biology, Calculus, Language and Composition, Literature and Composition, and Spanish, as well as a U of M College in the Schools course in Economics. Not only do Maranatha students score above the national and state norms for ACT, SAT, and other standardized tests, more than one-third of our students in Grades 10-12 participate in the National Honor Society. Aside from the formal opportunities to foster spiritual growth, such as Bible classes, weekly chapel, prayer groups, and outreach, students at Maranatha are inspired by the examples of staff and classmates to develop their relationship with Jesus Christ and to live their faith. The Bible says in I Corinthians 15:33, "Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character." In a school where professing Christ as Lord and Savior is a pre-requisite to attendance, you can be assured that your student will be in a place where good company abounds and good character flourishes.
