|
We are pleased to announce that through the diligent work of the 6th Grade Playground Committee, the LWCC Purchasing Department, the MCA elementary staff, and the gifts from our parents, grandparents, and friends of the Academy, the new elementary playground will be ready for the 2010/2011 school year!
The following is the timeline for completion: - May 20: Apparatus and wood fiber ordered - June 14-18: Site prep - June 24: Arrival of materials - June 25-28: Professional installation
To see a copy of the rendering of the playground, click here.
Also, we were able to attain additional wood fiber for the existing pre-k and kindergarten playground to help bolster the existing material. Discussions for a second phase to add to the new playground have already started. As more information becomes available, we will pass it along. PRAISE THE LORD! |

Mr. Higley's engineering class completed its year-long project of assessing, designing, and building a bridge over Dyer's Creek on the Superior Hiking Trail along the North Shore over the Memorial Day weekend.
Through the effort of some truly amazing students, talented volunteers, and great teachers, MCA was able to erect a 36 foot-long bridge along the 205-mile path. What a great accomplishment for everyone involved!
